Position Summary:

The Advocacy Support Facilitator is responsible for client program assessment and intake, client advocacy services, and arranging ancillary services for clients in Residential Programs, including emergency shelter, long-term housing, and support services. Performs work of moderate difficulty in a shelter facility.Minimum Job Requirements:

EDUCATION

High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and related experience

EXPERIENCE

2 years experience in the field of intimate partner violence/sexual assault intervention or prevention, client services, and/or crisis intervention.
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

o Bilingual oral and written fluency in language other than English strongly preferred.
o One years' experience in residential-based client services.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, SPECIALIZED TRAINING

Following the successful completion of the CCS' California State-approved Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training, complete a minimum of 12 hours of ongoing training per year as required by Cal OES.
Excellent interpersonal communication and phone skills.
Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of intimate partner violence and sexual assault issues and their impact on families.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as data entry and internet research. Comfort in computer network environment.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Organized and detail oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain a proactive approach and execute all duties in their entirety
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Must demonstrate an acceptance and respect for cultural diversity in all its forms, including ethnicity, sexual orientation, abilities, and religious backgrounds and an ability to work collaboratively in an ethnically, linguistically, and culturally diverse environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a communal housing facility. Must maintain personal cell phone for work-related purposes. Ability to work in IPV, SA, and stalking fields. Working conditions may include possible exposure to communicable diseases related to those typically found in communal housing. This position is classified as critical and essential under Public Health Authority.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The incumbent frequently is required to stand, walk, go up and down stairs, stoop, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to carry up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.03 per hour

Per Diem Shifts North/East County

Saturday and Sunday 8am- 4pm; 4pm -12am; 12am-8am

o Five (5) holiday shifts minimum

Part Time Shift East County

4pm-12Pm
