CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST FOR PAIN PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM

The Department of Psychiatry at the UC San Diego School of Medicine is committed to academic and clinical excellence and diversity within our faculty, staff, and trainees. The Department (http://psychiatry.ucsd.edu) is currently seeking a clinical psychologist experienced in the delivery of treatment services to individuals living with chronic pain who receive care within the UCSD Pain Management Clinic.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an APA-accredited Doctoral Program, which includes completion of an APA-accredited internship. Applicants must be licensed in California. Applicants must have experience in assessment, individual, and group therapy for patients with chronic pain and comorbid psychiatric symptoms. Applicants must be knowledgeable about evidence-based practice related to evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic pain. They must have some experience in the supervision of psychology trainees. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong track record in clinical care, program development, an interest or experience in clinical research on chronic pain, and experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to maintain the highest standards of clinical care, teaching, and professional activities and to develop a climate that supports equality and diversity.
