Deputy Executive Director of the Commission on Police Practices
Salary: $120,000 to $145,000 DOQ

The City of San Diego is seeking a leader with a passion for community engagement to serve as its Deputy Executive Director of the Commission on Police Practices. The Deputy Executive Director's principal function is to coordinate direction and policy decisions in close collaboration with the Commission on Police Practices. The Deputy Executive Director is expected to be a seasoned executive who is comfortable making decisions and stepping in for the Executive Director when necessary and working with diverse communities in San Diego.

Candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree. Additionally, conversational fluency in Spanish is desired, along with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a community engagement setting (preferred); and 5 years of full-time professional level administrative experience, which includes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel; 5 years managerial and supervisory experience also preferred.
