Primary Purpose:

The Customer Information Management (CIM) Advisor for Customer Consent and Data Disclosure oversees the strategy and governance of controls, business processes and associated software applications related to customer consent and data disclosure. Provides consultation, training and support services that ensure all CIM business processes are running effectively and efficiently. Manages new feature development and fixes, from requirements development through application testing and acceptance, to CIM applications based on stakeholder feedback. Collaborate with business and IT architects on effective implementation of requirements strategy realization and governance processes. Assists in the design and implementation of department business architecture strategy, technology goals and strategic roadmaps. Partner with business, service providers and IT to plan, prioritize opportunities and propose projects to improve systems or processes to increase operational effectiveness. This role will negotiate contracts and manage ongoing vendor relationships when applicable.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In a leadership capacity, responsible for the management, promotion, design, implementation, and execution of CIM business processes and applications for customer consent and data disclosure, and ensuring these technologies are available and working effectively according to internally published service level agreements. Consult with project teams to integrate CIM products and services into their technologies. Conduct analysis of CIM technologies and process models and recommend enhancements. Responsible for the implementation and adherence to regulatory privacy and data disclosure rules and business controls set forth by the Office of Customer Privacy and other relevant governance organizations.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting problems with CIM processes and applications for customer consent and data disclosure, working with relevant internal and external stakeholders, partners and vendors to fix them in a timely fashion, ensuring applications are highly available.

  • Responsible for testing fixes, upgrades, and new feature enhancements before deployment to production environments, and performing regression testing after changes are made in production environments. Responsible for working with project teams to integrate their solutions into CIM applications.

  • Responsible for development, management, and publication of CIM team processes, procedures, job aides, help guides, and other products necessary to document customer consent and data disclosure processes and applications and educate internal and external stakeholders.

  • Responsible to provide guidance regarding customer privacy matters, particularly customer consent and data disclosure controls.

  • Manage and monitor all aspects of customer communications associated with customer consent and data disclosure controls (including outage notifications, troubleshooting responses, requirements collection, etc.).

  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).








Qualifications



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in business, architecture, computer science, engineering or equivalent experience required.

  • 2 years' experience in privacy and/or information security.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Pegasystems platform.

  • Experience with California and California Public Utility Commission laws and regulations regarding privacy.

  • Ability to apply privacy principles, including data use transparency and customer choice.

  • Working knowledge of Privacy by Design and/or the Generally Accepted Privacy Principles.
